Our Mission
The mission of the Asian Network at Yale is to connect, inspire, and empower the Yale community including Asian Heritage professionals, supporting Yale’s ability to excel in an increasingly complex, competitive and diverse world.
We strive to do the following:
- Develop a support network for Yale employees, including Asian Heritage staff at all levels and strengthen the professional and social relationships between Asian employees, and the university.
- Assist Yale to capitalize on the range of skills, backgrounds and competencies of the Asian Heritage community and advance the University’s mission as a global institution of excellence.
- Sponsor at least 3 cultural events annually that celebrate the heritage and richness of traditions.
The aim of the Office of Employee Engagement and Workplace Culture is to create an inclusive and empowering work environment for the diverse work community here at Yale University. The Office of Employee Engagement and Workplace Culture is committed to bringing our colleagues of the Asian Heritage community into the fold to join our other heritage staff organizations.
Steering Committee
The primary function of the Steering Committee is to provide guidance for the strategic direction of ANY in order to ensure that activities are aligned with the mission and goals of the organization. We meet on the Tuesdays of the second week each month and our team consist of staff, faculty and postdoctoral students.
Our functions include:
- Establishing the strategic direction, missions, and goals of ANY
- Developing the year’s priorities, programs and events
- Voting on major decisions that impact ANY’s missions, goals, and brand
- Representing ANY and communicating our purpose to the greater Yale community.
