Screening of Yaya

Attend a special screening of Hong Kong director Justin Cheung’s documentary Yaya. Troubled by the way Hong Kong treat’s it’s 300,000 domestic workers, Justin turns the camera on his own relationship with Teresita Lauang, the Filipino domestic worker who has spent decades away from her family to raise his family. In this honest and intimate portrayal of their relationship, we see that familial love can take many different forms.

This documentary is a tribute to the women who contribute so much to Hong Kong society at the expense of time away from their family.
