The 8th Multicultural Block Party was a huge success with over 700 people visiting, learning, celebrating, and enjoying performances by 11 groups from cultures around the world. This year’s block party was the biggest yet, with food tasting stations, games, an American Sign Language demonstration, a magic show, performances, an obstacle course, bounce house, a fire safety smoke room, rock climbing, reflections on diversity and a celebration of people from “Around the World,” three food trucks, and over 30 departments and businesses offering free educational activities.
