Bring your friends and family to join us for a traditional lion dance parade on Whitney Avenue and Audubon Street. We’ll start the parade at the corner of Whitney Avenue and Grove Street, and celebrate alongside the Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute’s lion dance troupe, Handsome Dan, and some adoptable dogs from the New Haven Animal Shelter. Stay for the entire parade to hear from Mayor Toni Harp and to see a few special performances by local performers who will appear on the bump-out on Audubon Street!

After the parade, stick around Whitney and Audubon to check out open houses at Creative Arts Workshop and Neighborhood Music School or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants offering special deals in honor of Lunarfest!

It doesn’t end there! Between 12:00PM and 5:00PM there will be a wide variety of arts and culture events at Luce Hall (34 Hillhouse Ave.), New Haven Museum (114 Whitney Ave.), The Yale-China Association (442 Temple St.), Ely Center of Contemporary Art (51 Trumbull St.), and the Audubon Arts District. Everything is FREE!
