On December 4, 2020, a group of ANY members had a tour of the Yale University Art Gallery’s exhibit, Ceremonial Dress from Southwest China: The Ann B. Goodman Collection. Our tour was led by the exhibit co-curator, Denise Patry Leidy, the Ruth and Bruce Dayton Curator of Asian Art of the Yale Art Gallery. She shared fascinating insights into the making of the exhibition-showcasing the visual imagination, artistic skill, and technical knowledge on display in the ceremonial clothing of communities living in Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan, Yunnan, and other provinces of southwestern China.
