With Yale police officers and more than 50 volunteers from other departments of Yale, Asian Network at Yale (ANY) participated in Season of Giving Turkey Giveaway event organized by the Yale Police Department on Wednesday, November 20. First, we checked every donated item to make sure the food is not expired. Then, we sorted piles of donation of canned and boxed food based upon their types. Lastly, we assembled dozens of bags of Thanksgiving holiday food supplies which include canned beans, yams, corns, cranberry sauce, gravy, as well as boxed mash potatoes and chicken broth for each bag. The goal of he Yale Police Department is to give away 150 this kind of Thanksgiving food bags and turkeys to the families of local community. This is a great opportunity to help local community and make sure every family can have a wonderful Thanksgiving. ANY is proud to be part of this great cause.
