Shang-Chi Inspired Tai Chi Event

Join Shirley Chock, co-owner of Aiping Tai Chi Center and former Asian Network at Yale Co-Chair, for a Shang Chi inspired Tai Chi experience. Shirley will lead you through a 60-minute gentle exercise program with easy-to-follow, low-impact movements that are designed to improve circulation and relieve stress. The exercises are helpful for alleviating pain in your neck, shoulders, back, and hips. Movements are suitable for all ages and physical abilities and can be modified to be done in seated positions. Please join us for a much needed wellness stretch break!

IRIS Donation Drive

Join Yale’s Affinity Groups, Yale Library Staff Association, and Trestletree for a donation drive to benefit Afghan families that are served by Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS).

Stop by one of our 12 locations around campus to drop off your donation items between Monday, October 18th – Friday, November 5th, or visit our online registry.

Community Building: Welcoming Afghanistan Families

Following the fall of Kabul and the evacuation of Afghan friends and allies, an estimated 75,000 Afghans are arriving in the United States, with 450 to New Haven and Connecticut to rebuild their lives. They are fleeing retribution or persecution from the Taliban and have one goal: to live in safety. Come and learn about the many efforts underway and how you can help. This event is co-sponsored by the Asian Network at Yale, Future Leaders of Yale, Working Women’s Network, and Yale Veterans Network.
