Virtual: ANY, LGBTQ, & WWN Sweat & Sip!

As we transition from Fall to Winter, join us for our November wellness series, Sweat & Sip! Each Wednesday, November 4, 11, and 18 at 5pm, the Asian Network at Yale, LGBTQ Affinity Group, and Working Women’s Network are hosting a movement and meditation series. This series will feature 30 minutes of mindful movement, 10 minutes of guided meditation, and 20 minutes to sip on your beverage of choice while connecting with members of the Yale community.

Trust in Translation: The Story behind "Welcome to the New World"

Based on the New York Times Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic story of a refugee family who fled the civil war in Syria to make a new life in America, this acclaimed novel follows the Aldabaan family as they start a new life in Connecticut. Panelists in this event will examine the role of translation, both linguistic and cultural in the context of refugee resettlement.
